Press Release
Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story

4th to 9th September 2017 - The Duchess Theatre, Long Eaton

'Buddy Brilliant'

The talented cast of "Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story", had a brilliant time when they recently donned their costumes for a photo shoot to promote the show which takes to the stage of The Duchess Theatre in Long Eaton from the 4th to 9th September 2017.

Church Wilne Rotary president Adrian Perkins, from Draycott, has formed Amici productions with the sole purpose of presenting the show in Long Eaton, all profits from which will go to Rotary charities. Adrian said "I grew up listening to the music of Buddy Holly and it has always been a dream to stage the show with friends making up the cast, who will be well known to theatre goers from their performances with local musical societies

Adrian went on to say "Buddy Holly's music is as timeless in 2017 as it was in the fifties when it first appeared". When Buddy Holly died tragically in an air crash on February 3rd 1959, alongside Richie Valens and The Big Bopper, he left a legacy that still resounds in popular music to this very day". Songs in the show include favourites such as "Peggy Sue", "That'll be the day" and "La Bamba".
