Draycott Primary School Garden Update

Mike writes -

As you know I am a volunteer reader at this School and am just completing my 5th year there.
Additionally I have co-ordinated assistance in the school garden by way of a tidy-up once a year, with the help of one or two other Rotarians.

The garden has 3 raised beds which the after-school gardening club use for growing vegetables. The timbers surrounding these beds have been slowly rotting away and the Rotary Club gave the School money last year to replace these timbers.
This has been done recently on 7th June with the help of Tim Barker, his grandson Jacob, Margaret and myself (see attached photo). Tim brought the new timbers to the school , which had been delivered to the farm, and took away the old timbers for disposal.

The School is very appreciative of the support from Rotary and will be writing to the Club accordingly.
