The Rotary Club of Church Wilne held its annual Presidential Handover Meeting on Monday 29th June, in which the Presidency transferred from Geoff Smith to Tony Beenham. An opportunity to reflect on a very successful year, nearly £18K raised for good causes, including local charities and Geoff's chosen charity, Air Ambulance. Social events included a Christmas Snowball Party and the annual OAP Party, we took our Christmas float through the local areas, organised and ran the annual Horse Ride and supported the Derbyshire County Show.

This year promises to be a good one; President Tony is kicking it off by cycling from our twinned Club Hinnerup in Denmark to Paris in order to raise money for Treetops Hospice Charity Registration No: 519540 and to build closer links between our two clubs. The Hinnerup members will be visiting us later this year. You can follow Tony's progress on Twitter, facebook and our website: www.churchwilnerotary.org.uk. You can also sponsor him through the justgiving website www.justgiving.com/Tony-Beenham

A date for your diary 13th September, our annual horse ride, other events detailed on our website calendar.
