Sarah spoke further about their helper volunteers who make visits and give a friendly ear. Also she explained that research is another important part of their work.

Their fundraising includes the Daffodil Appeal each March, the popular Tea Party, national events and legacies.

The GPs and District Nurses provide them with many of their patients and Sarah concluded by saying "we provide some light in their darkest hours"

There were many questions from the members and Rotarian Martin Wilson gave the club's vote of thanks saying you have enlightened us tonight on the work that Marie Curie does and life is made more tolerable to the whole family.
