Senior Citizens' Tea Party

Sawley Church Hall, Derbyshire
12th May 2018

Church Wilne Rotary Club's annual senior citizens tea party was held on Saturday 12th May at Sawley Church Hall when well over 90 guests from the area enjoyed an afternoon of good food, drinks, dancing and musical entertainment.

John Gregory was in charge of the many passengers collected by coach and with club Rotarians collecting the remainder by car.

They all tucked into the wide variety of quality food and drinks. Musical entertainment was provided throughout the afternoon by Clive Allen with support by vocalist Leslie. Singing along with Clive is always popular at this event and after the feast dancing the calories away was enjoyed by many.

Tables all set ready for the special guests.

Pauline samples the sherry to make sure it is good enough for the guests.

A full house enjoying the company.

Plenty to eat and lots to catch up with.

President Adrian joins in with the dancing.

After tea, dancing was a good way to work off the calories.

At the end of the party all the guests went home with plants and many memories of a happy afternoon spent with old and new friends.

Church Wilne President Adrian Perkins thanked John Gregory for putting the event together. He also thanked the many members of his Rotary Club along the Inner Wheel Club of Church Wilne for their valued support.
