A Glorious Day at the Cat & Fiddle Windmill Charity Open Day

August 17th 2019

In association with the Rotary Club of Church Wilne, owners Di & Mel Richardson hosted a charity open day on 17 August at the Cat & Fiddle Windmill in West Hallam.

Record numbers from all ages enjoyed the day, viewing the Windmill, Classic Cars and Tractors and competing in the Fun Dog Show. Stalls including Splat the Rat, Bus Bar, Face Painting, Homemade Cakes, Bluebells Ice Cream and Tombola were kept very busy all day.

Rotarian Brian Stokes commented "What a great time we had, we hope to see you again next year"

Over £5,000 was raised for charity including Treetops Hospice Care, Air Ambulance, Derby Mountain Rescue and the Broxtowe Day Service for Vulnerable Adults.

Next year's event will be held on Sunday 23 August 2020.
