On Monday 8th February the members of the Rotary Club of Church Wilne welcomed their newest member David Hewitt to it's weekly meeting at the Royal Oak in Ockbrook.

His sponsor Brian Stokes in his introduction said he had known David for 25 years and he was a teacher, a man of many parts and it gave him much pleasure to propose him as a member.

Then followed the induction of David by Club President Tony Beenham.

In his brief thanks to the club David thanked his sponsor Brian and said he was committed to the club and its motto of service above self. He was also inspired when helping with the club's Santa collections before Christmas and by Adrian Perkins' Sand Dams presentation.
