On Saturday 6th May, Church Wilne Rotary, with the help of the Inner Wheel Club, put on their annual Senior Citizens Afternoon Tea Party. With over 80 guests from around the Draycott, Borrowash and Ockbrook areas the afternoon went with a swing.
Dennis Perkins, aged 86 commented "It's lovely to know that once a year Rotary organises this party and it makes us older folk feel like we're not forgotten".
The event was paid for with money raised during December from the Santa float collections. "Thanks have to go to the general public for donating so generously during the Christmas period without which the Tea Party couldn't take place", stated President Simon.
