Our club meeting on Monday 2^nd July 2018 was the final "Position of Office" for our 2017-18 President Adrian Perkins as we entered the new Rotary Year.

The meeting was opened with Adrian, in his regular quiet attire of Red Tartan Jacket, white shirt and Union Jack Bow tie, didn't notice the socks at this stage!!!
Our attendance tonight was an impressive 40 members – 79% attendance.

A very warm welcome was provided to our visitor, Past President and former member Stephen Woolley, who has been enjoying the benefits of his recent retirement.
Thanks was also given to Rtn Ken Watson who had provided the wine on the tables in celebration of his upcoming Diamond Wedding Anniversary – Congratulations Ken and Rosemary

Following our Meal, we then entered the business end of the meeting. President Adrian provided a heartwarming overview and thanks for his privileged year as Club President.

His final words were his lessons learnt –
Mentally, I've had to learn to think before I speak. Something I've never been too good at.
I've also had to learn the correct meaning of the phrase 'Dress Appropriately', which I think you'll agree I've now nailed!
Physically I've noticed a few changes too. I've developed much broader shoulders, together with a thicker skin. I'm sure I have grown a few inches in height, having had to stretch to see over Simon & Geoff each week.

At this point President Adrian, removed his Chain of Office and Introduced and handed over to our incoming Presidents Chris and Andy.
Our new President Chris, provided thanks to all the great work Adrian has achieved throughout the year and then pinned on the Past Presidents Regalia.

Following presentation of regalia to our President Nominee Andy Lord, confirmation of Secretary and Treasurer, a few words regarding the photographs around the meeting of our IPP displaying various dress changes throughout the year, his summation and hand over to SAA, our meeting closed.

All that remains to be said ……
