Bicycle Bell Giveaway
Church Wilne Rotary Share with Care Campaign

Church Wilne Rotary is giving free bicycle bells to cyclists along Route 6 of the National Cycle Network which runs between Breaston & Borrowash.

As the lockdown eases, more people have been dusting down their bikes and taking to the cycle paths around the area. That is good, but occasionally riders are either forgetting to ring their bells to warn pedestrians or indeed do not have a working bell. This is the reason why Church Wilne Rotary decided to give away 300 bicycle bells as part of a 'Share with Care' campaign.

Club member Adrian Perkins, who is in charge of the project, said : 'We wanted people to know Rotary is still doing good in the Community during the lockdown and to remind everyone to be mindful of each other whilst out and about'.

The times of the Giveaways are shown on the Club's website but are usually at weekends between 10.00am and 2.00 pm on the cycle path at the junction with Hopwell Road, Draycott.

Adrian hands a bell to a happy cyclist.

Bells for all the family.

Susie shows off the bicycle bells.
