New Eco Greenhouse for Risley School.
Building the Greenhouse

Church Wilne Rotary recently erected their third ECO Greenhouse, this time at Risley Primary School.

The Greenhouse is constructed of a wooden frame, the cost of which was covered by a donation from Risley with Hopwell Parish Council & a local anonymous donor, and filled with approximately 1,000 recycled 2 litre plastic bottles collected by the children in the school prior to the school holidays.

Teaching Assistant Michelle Thraves, who helped build the greenhouse on the day, said that she can't wait to get children involved. She went on to say 'We intend to do projects with the children involving recycling the bottle tops and bottoms so absolutely no waste'.

To help give the Eco Greenhouse a flying start, Rotarian Susie Collins presented Head Teacher Paul Bridgmount with a £250 Collyer's Nursery voucher to be spent on plants and tools.

The framework arrives on site.
