The Rotary Club of Church Wilne welcomed Linda Cadman to its Speaker Evening on Monday 18th August.

Linda is the Rotary District Vocational Chair, a member of Retford Rotary Club, she gave a fascinating talk on ways of helping the Club to develop larger, longer lasting projects in the community, working with other clubs. Over the last 12 months over £16,000 has been raised and donated to charities including: Air Ambulance, Children's Air Ambulance, Ashbrook and Draycott Local Schools. The club has worked with the Rotary Club of Kabarole in Uganda, ensuring that all donated money reaches the orphaned children of Manna Rescue Home, in Uganda, allowing them to purchase English language books. The club has also supported a project to buy Sensory Aids for Visually Impaired Children at Markeaton Primary School. Members work with local groups and run the Young Chef and Young Photographer competitions. In May of this year the club organised an annual Senior Citizens Party. On Sunday 14^th September the Club will be organising and running a horse ride.
