Purple 4 Polio

As part of their 'Purple4Polio' Campaign Church Wilne Rotary recently provided Breaston, Draycott, Borrowash & Ockbrook 'In Bloom' groups with 1,000 Purple Crocus bulbs each.

Rotarian Geoff Derrick presenting Julie Rowlinson from Breaston In Bloom with their bulbs.

Profits from the purchase of the bulbs go to Rotary International to support the eradication of Polio around the world.
World Polio Day was on 24th Oct & the 'Purple4Polio' campaign is symbolic of children having their finger dipped in purple ink after being inoculated.

Another inoculation done.
